The fish and the background panel have both been on my desk for the last couple of weeks, an unfinished card from Dina's recent Green Seas MIX challenge. So I used Carla's WTUI challenge which you will find HERE as the motivation to make them up into a card.
The base layer had been done using the cling wrap background with water and gouache paints - it came out so intense that I painted over the whole thing with gesso but you can still see the wrinkles. I stamped the sentiment and embossed it with clear EP, and added some distress EP along the bottom for sand.
I was looking for my stained-glass papers for the seaweed - when I couldn't find them, I used alcohol inks on some semi-translucent paper. The red ferny bit is punched from a polished stone background. I added some die-cut sea stuff, also some half pearls and Dew Drops. The fish was embossed on watercolour paper and coloured with Twinkling H2Os, he's popped up on an action wobble. (Homemade, 28 gauge wire coiled round a foam brush handle, with each end threaded through a hole in a punched cardboard circle. It wobbles beautifully). To edge it, I added a border with a silver Sharpie, and then went over it with Crackle Accents.
