The other day I decided instead of cleaning off my paper cutting table, that I would start making layouts with the pieces. Since many of the pieces were already coordinated colorwise since they had been used on other projects. I got about 12 done with various combinations and various layout designs. This was one of the background layouts that was already done, so all I had to do was add the image, sentiment and bone. I don't know why I haven't done this before now. I hope to get many more done as there are still piles on that table.
This is also for the CCEE1712 challenge as we are celebrating puppy day too.

OMGosh....looking at the doggie would make me doubt that he is anyone's best friend, but I know that even ones who may not look happy all the time truly make someone's life whole each day
AND I just love your idea of getting layouts all done with scraps around the stamping table....I had not thought of that befpre......I do, however, sometimes sit and color and cut images so.....if I could do both of those I could really make cards much quicker...lol....as a matter of a fact, after making a snowman card a bit ago I colored 15 or so snowmen and they are ready to go once I get a layout that is easy and fab

Well done you! I start out with those intentions but I've always cleaned my desk off before getting to realise them. What a great card, the green background gives it a real "in the garden" feel.

I've got a stash like that on one of my tables with partially pulled together cards ~ thanks for inspiring me to grab them and turn them into cards! That bulldog is cute as can be and the sentiment is so true : )
