I am your hostess this week and I have chosen Wild Wasabi, Marina Mist, Crushed Curry and for dessert: Be Bold! On this first card I used distress colors to match so that I could do more blending.
I stamped my giant poppy stamp in the corner of my panel, and then again on a large post-it which I had cut down to the exact size of my card front. I cut the image out from the post-it (I wasn't too picky about all the little bumps and ridges), and then used the negative of this piece to cover the part of the card front that was outside my flower. Then I sponged the flower, removed the mask and placed the other part of the mask on the flower so that I could sponge and stamp with my mixed media stamps all over the bg. Splattered the bg with diluted white acrylic paint, and then put the bg mask on again so I could spray shimmer mist on just the flower - so, so pretty IRL! Finally, I embossed the sentiment on the black cs, popped it up with dimensional and added enamel dots.

I know I must sound like a broken record week after week but oh my goodness, Maura, what an ingenious technique you used to make this stunning card. Now I know what I can do with all of those squiggly stamps I have! Wonderful card!
