OMG, how can one little card cause so many problems? I won't even go into all the things that didn't go right (or, rather, as I had anticipated). But, hey, I was able to save it in the end.
Stamped and colored elephant and HAPPY. Die cut. Added Wink of Stella to both. Covered striped part of HAPPY letters with Glossy Accents. Die cut 2nd set of "blanks" to layer for added dimension.
Used my MFT In/Out Square dienamics to put a border on my Bazzill panel. Die cut 2 kites, cutting off the string from one. Die cut the elephant and kite from DSP scraps and cut out to create colorful kite and add a little shirt on the elephant. Used SU black marker to edge the shirt for a finished look. Paper pieced.
Adhered elephant/kite to the focal panel and added a shadow. Die cut edge of windowpane check DSP with the In/Out die so the stitched edge would remain intact. Assembled my card. Finished off by enhancing the eyes with a multiliner and adding dots of Glossy Accents to the eyes.
This will go in my Happy Mail stash for the nursing home.

Too cute, Debbie! I love your little elephant and that is great dsp for placing the sentiment. No one would ever know you had a problem creating this card.
I've been there.
