I think there might be a few crazy birds in the gallery today..they lend themselves so well to this challenge They have awesomely funny eyes and you can easily add some fancy glasses. The bird and the hat are a RAK from Carla...thanks! The eyeglasses, greeting and hills are all out of shiny gold paper..hard to photograph but they look cool. I like these cat eye frames....I think everyone shoud have a fun pair of glasses...I'm wearing my fun pair today...red plastic frames...love 'em. My bg is one of those spray starch and plastic wrap ones I had in my "extras" box. I decided to do a bit of paper piercing on the gold lawn for something extra. I forget I have those tools and patterns...was fun to get them out and use them today.

Your crazy bird looks very sharp with that fancy hat and the gold spectacles, Polly!! Love the gorgeous bg and your paper piercing looks awesome - something I'm not very good at doing!

Gosh, Polly, the piercing on the grass is really super - after the bird it was the first thing I noticed. Her hat is so much fun, it reminds me of the sort of thing the wife of the organist in one of the city centre churches used to wear. She was so old-fashioned, and also I don't know if she felt the cold or something, when she and her husband used sometimes to call for "high tea" (he taught in the same school as my dad), she would always be swathed in a wool coat, scarf and hat no matter what the weather.
