For today's CAS challenge - Luck of the Irish, and TLC Direct to Paper. These challenges worked together perfectly for a sympathy card for my Irish uncle whose 94 year old mother is dying. 94. What a life! I think this card celebrates her really well. They are very proud of their Irish heritage.
Direct to paper was a difficult challenge for me. I sat here this morning rubbing ink pads on paper and trying to figure out how to make it look good until I ended up with some stripes that looked like the beginning of a nice plaid. I do love a good plaid. I see many more Distress ink plaid backgrounds in my future...

Jen - I knew this had to be yours as soon as I saw it! - You do turn out some fabulous looking plaids and this one is no exception . . . the softer shades of green work great for your sympathy card.

I love plaid and I am amazed that you achieved this beauty with the DTP technique! I can never get that technique to look worth a darn! Wonderful sympathy card for your Irish uncle.
