This is for RobinÂ’s fun Free for All challenge. We are celebrating all things Mary Poppins this week, you can check it out here .
The ombre background is from a 6” x 6” paper pad, I think it is by Authentique, it is grey ombre on this side and brown with white spots on the otherside. I carefully centred the Umbrella Man die, what you see here is the negative.
Before I adhered the ombre paper negative to a black leather grain card base, I stamped on the rain drops with iced spruce distress ink and MISTI. The little penguin is a die-cut and the sentiment is by Unity Stamps.
This is positively CAS by my standards. I couldnÂ’t help myself from adding something extra so I added a little bit of white pencil and pen here and there.
Thank you for looking and I hope you have some time to get inky and join in the challenge.

Beautifully done Susie! Wonderful CAS design and so thought provoking of all the songs in Mary Poppins. Love the way you used white to bring depth to your image.

Leave it to you to come up with something fabulous! Love me some Dick (Van Dyke). :-p LOL
Sorry, I couldn't resist. Besides, I wouldn't leave a comment like this on just anyone's card. You did a wonderful job Susie capturing that dark, gray scene where he's singing as the chimney sweep.

Love this, Susie!! (It has your name written all over it - dramatic, creative and great details!) The added white details are perfect and so is your little penguin!!! Faved!

This is the perfect card for the challenge Susie - I love it. Using the negative die cuts is so creative and something I never think to do. This umbrella man and penguin definitely could be Dick Van Dyck dancing with the pengin in Mary Poppins. Boy, this brings back some good memories. I love your rain and how realistic is appears. I chuckled about this being as CAS as you get- you did a fantastic job my friend. Hugs! ~Karen.

Wowza Miss Susie that image is always amazing but it is so perfect for a Mary Poppins inspiration. Love the brilliant BG you used and adding the raindrops is perfect and super stunning card. The use of the negative on the die cut is fantastic and the added white really sets off the image. Yes this is CAS for you and it is perfect!!!
