This is for Lisa's "My Favourite"WT challenge which you will be able to find HERE.
I have to admit I was very slow getting going on this one, but when I thought about what I most like doing, which is creating backgrounds, I pulled out my all-time favourite background stamp from IO and I was out of the gate. Possibly my most used stamp is the sand from Shore Thing.
I sponged a bit of colour onto the card base before embossing the flourishes, and then sponged plenty more on after embossing the flourishes with clear EP. I used mostly mowed lawn, tumbled glass and mustard seed. I also stamped a Hero Arts Script stamp which has almost vanished, and the water splash from French Foliage, and then edged the top and sides with gilding flakes - the "grass" at the bottom is embossed and sanded Core-dinations.
For the bird, I stamped on white card and coloured with gelatos, rubbing them to blend with a baby wipe and my fingers. The sentiment and music notes were stamped on with Rangers Archival.
The leaves were stamped on white card (I used green ink for the leaf on the right) and sponged with distress inks, then fussy cut and mostly popped up with foam.
Fun challenge, Lisa - looking forward to seeing the gallery for this one!

That, Sabrina, is one awesomely beautiful background and Scribbly Birds is one of my favorites too. Your use of the the gold gilding flakes around the edges makes your background piece really pop. Easily my favorite of the Favorite challenge.

This is really beautiful, Sabrina! Your whimsical bg flourish is an amazing stamp, and I can understand why it's your favorite! Bg stamps add such interest and set the stage for the rest of our creations. Very sweet bird among the fallen leaves and who wouldn't have a happy day after receiving this Beauty~

Fabulous mixed media card!! Love the use of the bird and the leaves and all the fabulous color and textures - wish I could see how the gilding flakes look in person - I have never used them. Faved!
