Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to make a card with Pool Party, Island Indigo and Perfect Plum. The dessert option is to "make it golden."
I have a friend who has a new baby, a boy named Jude (hence the title to my post), and I used this week's colors for my cute gift-card holder. I used an ancient SU set called "All Occasions," and Blueprints 30. My card base is Island Indigo, and the lighter layer is Pool Party, with the edges sponged in the same color ink for a little depth. The Island Indigo tab holds the flap closed. Open, it reveals a gift card inside.
I stamped the baby (what a cute image!) in Hero Arts black ink on Bristol paper, watercolored him with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then fussy cut him out. The gold border was stamped with VersaMark, sprinkled with Ranger Gold Tinsel embossing powder, heat embossed and fussy cut. A few tiny gold sequin stars complete the card.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!
