Pam has chosen some lovely, soft colors for this week's challenge. Perfect for flowers. I usually like to go outside the box on the colors, but with the dessert of "Thanks" I just couldn't resist "Thanks a Bunch".
I chose this bunch of tulips from the Nice & Easy Notes set which I haven't used in a while. I stamped it without the "Thank You" above it. I masked off the image and sponged some shabby shutters underneath it, then brushed on some water for a little bit of a watercolor effect. For my Spectrum Noirs I used HB1 for "Wisteria Wonder", LG3 for "Wild Wasabi" and a combo of TB2 and IB1 for "Soft Sky". I framed it with my stitched squares dies--got them with my Simon Says Stamp gift that I won during Falliday Fest! Then I finished with a hand-lettered "Thanks a bunch" sentiment using my ExactlyWrite address guide template. Also, finally remembered to pick up a gummy eraser--so much easier to erase my pencil marks under my lettering!
