This is my sample for CC619. Barbara is our hostess and she has chosen rich razzleberry, hello honey and tempting turquoise as her color trio. Dessert this week is to use a die-cut.
I started my card with some background stenciling. Used the textured honeycomb stencil from Memory Box, hello honey ink and a Clarity Brush. I love the smooth as well as soft look you get using these brushes.
My images are from the "sweet valentine" set. It's a new stamp & die combo from CottageCutz. I used Prismacolor pencils and gamsol for my coloring. It's been awhile since I've used these pencils.
The birthday sentiment is stamped in rich razzleberry ink and is from the "oopsy daisy" set from MFP. I layered the image panel on a stitched panel cut in hello honey cardstock. Then layered that on a rich razzleberry base.
That's my card for this week. Hope you can play along with us. The color combo opens a lot of possibilities. Check out the other DT samples for more inspiration.

This is just so delightful! My dad was a bee keeper so I really enjoyed finding your wonderful card in the gallery today- fun! I have been on the fence with the clarity brushes, but seeing what you have achieved here is inspiring. You have really used the color challenge colors so beautifully and made a wonderful birthday card with it! ~Karen
