Cathy has challenged us to warm up the gallery today. I just love making and looking at quilt cards. Usually I make baby quilt cards, but today I thought a supportive or sympathy quilt card would be nice. I started off by Googling quilt squares and came up with this design that I liked. I picked out three different DPs. This is actually Christmas paper that I got from Michael's for 75% off after Christmas clearance.
I punched out all the squares I needed and cut them each into triangles. Then I took the gray base and applied tape runner to the whole thing and assembled like a puzzle. Finished by running through a honeycomb EF and stitched the outside edge on my sewing maching. I had my stitch length set to about 3 and my zigzag to 4. I think I could have used a shorter stitch length here.

Love your quilt piecing!!!! I recently have made a few quilt cards for my MIL as she is a quilter and always loves quilt cards for her friends. This is fantastic and with the honeycomb embossing she would be thrilled with that on one of her cards also. Oh so inspiring.

Jenn, being a former quilter, I can tell you that this is FABULOUS! What a great design, and I love the "fabric" and your "piecing." Beautifully done, and I love the sentiment...perfect card to comfort. Warm hugs! xoxo
