Hello. I made this card for the Letter V alphabet challenge. V is for the color violet for the flower. For the rustic gray background, I scored the piece on the diagonal at every 1/4" in both directions. Then I took my basic gray ink pad and put it direct to paper and ran it over the paper several times until I had the coverage I wanted. The thanks die is cut from black card stock, then I added clear wink of stella over the top to add a little shimmer and shine. I sent this card to a very dear scs friend and she has it now so I am able to post this card now. Thanks for looking. ~Karen.

So lovely. Love gingham ribbon. It gives such a fresh look. Great scored background on this too. Yay! your V card is done, and it is so very well done too!

Hi Karen! Wow, this is Fantastic, mf! Your scored lines with the swiped ink pad is such a wonderful technique to add such nice shading! It looks like a pretty piece of dp! Your whimsical flower & leaves are colored so Beautifully and the sparkle on the 'Thanks' is a really nice touch! ♥
