Thank you, Ally for a most interesting sketch. I confess to going slightly outside 'the lines', but I do hope you can see the bones of the sketch.
The Teapotter Challenge this week was 'Patching Up the Year'. To share a remembrance in the form of a 'memory quilt'. I must admit I've been pondering this Starbucks coffee sleeve for a few weeks now as I knew it would make a great card. Don't you just love it when you don't Quite know what you want to create, but trust that something good is going to spring forth?
My Memory quilt is the hearts rendered in three shades of Red. I must admit my physical heart has been heavy this season missing my mom who slipped the bounds of this life for the hope of heaven. Tears won't slip over the rim of my eyes, but I feel every one, just waiting. Red was her favorite color. I traced my hand onto the beautiful Asian rice paper and then fussy cut. My hand crafting that heart filled quilt. {LOVE} personified. Inside the 'cup' is a teabag. The heart tag reaches just over the edge of the 'cup'. I added a strip of dark Washi, which has affirmations...one that says: never look back...
Life indeed goes on. I was well loved. And I know this is only a temporary separation. Thank you very much for stopping by. I appreciate you.
