Well this did not come out as imagined but what else is new, LOL!! I'm not great with dull colors either and I almost had to use just those to do this particular memory quilt.
This might make a good guy birthday card I think??

Turned not out as you wished??? I would like all my cards would look like this, this is a lovely patchwork card, and the horses are beautiful the colors too, nothing wrong with this card

Robin, you are too hard on yourself! Those colors and tone are perfect for your the,e...I know many horse loving friends who would love to receive this wonderful card. The quilting pattern as well as the well placed elements are perfect.
I know brighter colors are eye catching and tend to get more comments, but there is depth and subtlety to those earth tone that makes one search, linger, and appreciate. Well done

It DEF. would make a wonderful birthday card. I was enjoying all the neat details and THEN noticed the gorgeous horses...so loving that for sure, looks like leather....love your design and papers...will be loved for sure....TFS.:0)
