I was very spoilt today by fellow Aussie, Helen aka Helekins. Imagine my surprise when I saw these most adorable Penguin dies. I have never seen this brand before - Apple Blossom, they cut like butter!
I'm still hooked on this grey background which is very simply made by spraying black Dylusions ink spray onto alfoil and then squirting on some ironing spray. I plopped an A4 sheet of cardstock onto the puddle and rubbed my hand over the back of the card.
After it is nice and dry (about half a second) I cut the A4 sheet into smaller panels. I still haven't discovered why the starch isn't as 'wet' as water or why the spread pattern is different, or why it dries so quickly. All I know is, I love it.
I stuck the panel on a hammertone card base, then die-cut the Penguins, the bubbas are adhered to the card with glue and their mum is propped up with 3D tape. Silver Stickles were then dotted all over the place.
Thank you for looking. I hope you all have a happy, inky week.

Oh my goodness, penguin dies, so gorgeous! Such a cool card.
And who knew about ironing spray! I'd be scared I'd cause an explosion if I experimented like that; science class was my least fav subject.
But you do such amazing things with everyday items!

Susie, this is just amazing! I have never heard of these dies either but it nice to know you love them. Your card is incredible. I'm not sure I'd be able to recreate this scene. It looks extremely hard.

Oh my goodness Susie, this penguin family is soooo adorable! These dies are unknown to me and they are truly beautiful with this incredible background you have created to showcase them by. I love the movie Happy Feet and you sure did it justice with this incredible card. Congratulations on this card being selected as a favorites so many times - it is so deserving. Hugs my friend! ~Karen.

What a wonderful card. I love the background and those super sweet penguins. Our niece was penguin mad as a child and this reminds me of her, especially when she asked my sister visiting South Africa for a penguin to be brought back! At least there is one place there where they have a penguin colony so a suitable memento was secured - a soft toy if I remember rightly
