As you know I struggle with the water coloring. But I thought I would give it a try. The background water coloring is what I struggle with. Stamped and colored flowers and stems. Used blender pen to wash the background. Used my Misti and stamped sentiments along the edges. TFL

What an awesome idea to use a blender pen, I might have to try that too! Your watercolor design turned out wonderfully! I think it's GORGEOUS!
Watercoloring does take a bit of practice before you're gonna be thrilled with results....however, I believe we are our own worst critics...LOL I think what helps me the most with the techniques is remembering that it's not supposed to look pencil sketched - it's supposed to look softer and less defined.

I know exactly which photo inspired you, I stopped at that one too, but then saw the Crazy Birds. This is a beautiful representation of your inspiration piece.

I love the colors you used and the journaling too. I never would have thought to watercolor this image, but I will now after seeing your wonderful card here. Hugs! ~Karen.
