I have been having so much fun playing with the Reindeer dies my sweet sistah from anudder mudder Robin sent me. Out of respect for the festive season I promise not to turn any of them into giraffes or zebras until the new year.
As you can see I have drawn inspiration from the super moon we had through the week - that and the fact I had masking paper on my desk and a big circle template. I cut up a sheet of A4 cardstock and ended up with 4 pieces approx 4" square. I cut a square of masking paper the same size as the panels then used a big circle stencil and cut the moon out.
I used the moon mask first then after the background was dry, I removed the moon mask and placed on the background mask. This makes it really easy to sponge on the moon colours.
The bright moon was done with the Smack & Squirt technique - smack ink pad onto aluminium foil and squirt on a fair bit of water. Use a foam blending tool to mop up the inky water and scrub on the card. This takes about 30 seconds and goes on really smoothly and easily. If I were using ink straight from the ink pad it would take me three weeks and I would get a lot of lines in it.
The background was the same technique as last week. Spray black Dylusions ink spray onto aluminium foil and spray on some ironing spray starch, dunk the panel in the puddle. I still haven't found out the ingredient in spray starch that makes it less `wet' than water, not to worry. The spread pattern of the ink is quite different too.
On the solo reindeer card I masked the ground and the moon while I did the background, then I quickly pulled the background mask off and dunked the bottom of the card in the left over ink.
Thanks to the magic of MISTI I stamped Poppy many times using Memento Luxe. Both reindeers are popped up with 3D tape. Thank you for looking and I hope you have a happy, inky week.

Oh, sis, how glorious and beautiful, and I LOVE the title! What beautiful reindeer, and they are so elegant against the super moon with the beautiful elf! Stunning each one! Hugs and love! xoxo
