I recently picked up the SU Swallowtail stamp at a discount. I've always liked cards I've seen that use it, but am intimidated by such large images. So decided to make myself use it for a trio of cards, each one with the stamp coloured with a different medium.
This one uses markers - I inked up with Tombow markers and then spritzed with water to get a soft watercolour look.
I used my MISTI to make sure I got it stamped well. I made a mask of the stamp and covered my image and splattered some brown watered down Vintage Photo ink.
I trimmed it down to a square and added a very narrow brown border and the white heat embossed sentiment on brown. Two iridescent gemstones filled in the holes in the die cut sentiment label.
It's my reminder card for the CAS Mix Up challenge for July which is to use stamps, markers, and one other element to make a clean and simple card. The challenge is here:
This one is my favourite of the three cards I just made using the Swallowtail stamp. I prefer it to the versions made with gelatos and watercolour crayons. Which one do you like best?

I need to remember your technique, Susan. It presents such gorgeous results. Each of your trio of cards is beautiful. I am humbled you favored one of my cards this week. Thank you so much, susan. Knowing you commented on one of my cards is a joy to my heart. you are an accomplished artist.
