For today's color challenge, Maura gave us beachy colors of Soft Sky, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi and Crumb Cake. Our dessert was creating a beach scene. Well, as everyone can see, I didn't earn my dessert today.
Years ago, I wallpapered numerous rooms in our home with Asian wallpapers. I happened upon this leftover roll while cleaning (imagine that) over the weekend. When I unrolled it last night, I was amazed how the colors really worked with today's challenge (if one were to push the envelope a wee bit).
I loved this paper and because it's Asian, I felt compelled to use this any way I could as long as the colors were similar in value. So, here I am with yet another Asian card.
TFL everyone.

I pulled up your card and stared at it for a LONG time trying to guess how on earth you got that beautiful, textured background! I couldn't guess so finally read the description. What a brilliant idea and I LOVE the muted colors. You framed it so tastefully and love the added flowers and wired pearls to finish it off. Beautifully done!

This really is beautiful with your Asian wallpaper for the main image. I'm guessing this is from the 80's, and it gave your room a very sophisticated look. Love the added string...Super card Ms. Anne. TFS

I love how you work a design, Anne! That paper is gorgeous and makes a beautiful card with all the little accents you tuck here and there. I am just shutting down for the night, and a very pungent perfume of eau de mouffette is wafting in my window, so that needs to be closed up toute de suite! Good night

Gorgeous Asian wallpaper....didn't see that coming...NOT. Miss Anne this is soooooo beautiful. I saw some Asian fabric yesterday and immediately though of YOU!! I know I have said it before but no-one uses this theme as beautifully as you do my friend. As for pushing the envelope a wee bit, you are Miss Anne Ryan, the rules don't apply!!!

Anne, thank you for another Amazing Asian creation!!! You definitely Excel at these! Beautiful use of your wallpaper. And your decision to accent this with that Brilliant blue layer and the Sun Fire die was Perfect! I love the textured green paper you've applied the sentiment to. What a Great contrast! Also love the wispy pearls. We don't necessarily want the rules to apply to your creations. There would be so much Wonderfulness we would miss out on. Envelope pushing is one of the rules of Creation anyway...right? Love this!

That is really beautiful paper, Anne - I can see why it was shouting out to be made into a card! I love how you used it with the blue frame and flower, and the sentiment placement. Lovely!!!
