Thanks to the generosity of Barbara (aka bejoyce - my Color Challenge team-mate), I was able to try out this blueprints 29 die cut frame that I love!! Thanks so much, Barbara!
Our F4A332 challenge is to create a beach card. I am also linking to MIX179 (favorite phrases) because I love to create a seasonal scene and then use the phrase, "Happy (insert season) birthday". Also, CAS383 - red, white and blue!
On the die cut little rectangles I sponged some sand and water using masking to separate the 2 areas. To make the "white caps" I used a stiff bristle brush to dab white pigment ink on the water. Did some sponging on the die cuts, a bit of marker on the bird's beaks, and for the umbrella I sponged through a stencil for the dots and then over the whole thing again and finished it off with some shimmer spritz for sparkle. Popped up the frame and the die cuts with dimensionals - love how this turned out!

Ah, Maura, you never cease to amaze me! What a fabulous job you did by taking some simple white die-cuts and turning them into a great summer scene! I love the beach chair right next to the ocean--reminds me of many happy summers in Ocean City, MD! It was my pleasure to enable you with the die cuts!

Wow Maura - I can totally see why you love that blueprints die - this is a great look and I love the way you have designed it with the different bits and pieces from beach life. Fantastic!

Another fantastic card, Maura. The water looks like the dun is sparkling on it. Great choice to make the subtle dot look for the umbrella. You now have me wantingvthis die cut because your card turned out do well. I love how you incorporated the red, white and blue...colors that I struggle with. Faved.
