Hello, dear friends! Well, it's the middle of the month and time for some flowers! You all know how much I love flowers, right? This card is going to a dear friend who just had surgery and is in need of some cheering up. I want her to know that I am praying and thinking of her. This is the newest Instant Garden digi, and I just love this sweet rose with the rose hips and chamomile. I have to admit that I have two images that I started coloring - one on Neenah and the other on X-Press It Blending Card. I finished the rose on each of them and had started on the leaves, but I decided to finish the Neenah one. Well, a sudden "bloop" came out of my Copic marker, and I gasped! It was nearly half an inch around! My DH said, "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" I said, "Well, you come and see for yourself." He then realized it surely wasn't a good thing! LOL! I can laugh now only because I went on to figure out what I would do for a layout using the other piece I started to color. After a while, I thought to myself - well, I could try putting some tissue under it and use the chisel end of my colorless blender. So I did. And while it took some work, I am thankful that I was able to camouflage the first image and finish it - big sigh of relief! I wanted this card to be feminine, so I added some doily dies that I love along with three little leaf branches. I traced the tag die, fussy cut a thin border, and then added the ribbon. It's hard to tell, but the DP is actually a soft blue.
So, sweet friends, thanks for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you like it. I always look at my finished cards and think (for example) I should not have glued down each doily. But there's always the next card, right? Hehe! Have a wonderful rest of the week, and don't forget to visit the newest Dirty Dozen Design team gallery. I've seen much of the gallery, and I think you will LOVE it! It's a fun theme this month.
