This is for Peggy's Color Challenge with dessert of "Make it a picnic". I think a picnic at the beach would be great; the look-out point by the lighthouse would be lovely. I've been saving this piece of ribbon that was on a package for just the right card. This one must be it. Red gingham says picnic to me and it is one of the colors. I watercolored the lighthouse image with the three colors and added some speckles on the Sahara Sand portion. Then I made it into a tag, trimmed the end with wavy scissors and looped through a piece of the gingham ribbon at the top & tied it with linen thread. I stamped some sandpiper birds in Sahara Sand along the bottom edge along with some speckles and added gingham ribbon across the card. Left it at that and let the colors do the talking. Fun color combo. Thanks for looking and hope you play along.

So sweet! I had forgotten about this little lighthouse, thanks for using it in such a fresh new way. The sand under the lighthouse is a cool design detail, especially since it laps over the sandpipers below. Very cool card! TFS

Do I ever love your embossed strip. It's so perfect with that image. Looks like you're off to a picnic with your red and white tablecloth ribbon. Such a sweet card.

Wow! This would be a great location for a picnic! Love the lighthouse image and the gingham ribbon really pops against the card base. Love all the birds at the bottom too.
