I went with the ads for Bulmers, which is an Irish brand of cider. They do beautiful posters with orchards full of blossom and bees for the Spring ads, and then the apple harvest for the autumn campaign and a snow-filled one (Ireland, really???) in winter. And the catchphrase is "Nothing added but time..." So I have blossom and a bee plus a clock, then an apple...and looking ahead, some faint autumn leaves fallen to the ground.
I started by stamping and masking the apple, then stamped the clock. The "apple blossom" was stamped around the edges, and on a scrap of paper for fussy-cutting. I stamped a couple of leaves very faintly on the "ground". Most colouring was done with pencils, but I reverse-masked the clock and sponged it. I used a brad and two little stamped leaves to.make the clock hands, and added a bee; no pollination of the flowers, no apples!
For the base, I used a gold leafing pen to draw spirals, and then sponged it with distress stain.
I may have omitted a few details, I'll add them after work. Forgot to upload this before going to bed, and had to do it from my phone and memory.
Oh yes, couldn't find a suitable sentiment, so to fill the blank space in the bottom left I used an extra leaf from the apple image to add dimension and fill the blank space.
