Mary has us playing Bingo this week! How fun is that?!?! :-)
For this week's Color Challenge, I chose the second column from the left on the Bingo card, which gave me Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Rich Razzleberry. The dessert option is "Anything Goes," so I chose watercoloring and ink smooshing.
The colors made me feel a bit wild and crazy, so I decided to try a new-to-me technique and also enter the first CAS Mix Up Challenge for the month of March 2016. The challenge is Stamping plus Watercoloring, plus one other mixed media "Your Choice" option. I stamped my flower outlines, watercolored the flowers, and used a die cut. I also used heat embossing, so I'm pretty sure I have all the requirements covered!
My first step was to stamp the flowers, then sprinkle with white embossing powder, then heat set. Then I used a Molotow masking pen to fill in all the flowers. Next came the Ink Smooshing background. After that was dry, I removed the masking fluid and watercolored the flowers with my Zigs. Last step was a few sequins, a few dots made with White Ranger Enamel Accents (I love that stuff!), and Wink of Stella on the flowers, leaves and "hello."
Accessories: Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, heat gun, Molotow masking pen, piece of acetate, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, paint brush, Reverse Confetti Fancy Words die, Wink of Stella, sequins, Ranger Enamel Accents
