Be still my heart, the wondrous beauty of Chinese art, whether it is landscape or figures or nature. Anne and Audrie your choice of sites to be inspired is magnificent! I am completing a trilogy here with my Calligraphy Robe Asian beauty, more on that in a moment.
Within the China Online Museum I happened upon Lin Fengmian: Lady in Blue. A hauntingly beautiful woman. You'll have to scroll all the way down the page to see the Lady in Blue. My beautiful woman (Stampington) is dressed in Calligraphy. She is stamped on smooth white. I chalked her face common to Geishas. The snippet of gold trim is the obi. I found more than 18 types of obi's just for women! The sentiment is heat embossed to add shine as well as the German Scrap in bronze along the edge. I bravely parted with the handmade cherry blossom paper for the vertical panel. I like how all the elements are vertical, a sweet serendipity.
Now back to my trilogy of Asian women, these Stampington images by Lynn Perrella include Cinnabar and Fuji Goddess Don't they embody a nature beauty? I love how serene Asian art can be.
Thanks for stopping by today! And to my lovely SCS cohort, thank you for never failing to inspire me with your graceful Asian style and snarky humor...they work well together. Indeed you are an artist.

So you call my refined sense of humor 'snarky'? All righty then. It's only because I love you and your cards that I will permit you to say such things. Oooh, your card is so wonderful, Ms. Susan. It captured my heart immediately. Love all the elements and design you've so aptly pieced together to create your own Asian beauty right here on SCS. You humble me and that's a good thing. Hugs

Certainly the Inspiration site today embodies your sentiment perfectly Susan! I love your Asian lady standing so gracefully erect. The bold colours really look superb with that metal trim. Lovely and memorable!
