Yesterday and earlier today, I was practicing my watercolor skills. As you can see for yourself, I still need practice ... a lot more practice.
My former secretary owns an ocean rental condo. I've told her I'd like to make her 'welcome' cards for arriving guests she tuck into her welcome basket. She's visiting us in early March, so I'm optimistic I will have this whole watercolor thing down pat by then.
I am in complete awe when I see artists do their thing. There were many times today when I just thought ... why couldn't I have thought of that. It is what it is, as I always say.
TFL everyone.

The Stamps Happen stamps have always been some of my favorite stamps. You've done this one proud!!! Your sky is to die for. I've never had any luck with watercolor. Your card reminds me of a photo I took in Maine of an old boat abandoned on the side of a road that looked much like this one. It was hidden by overgrown weeds and much more dilapidated. It really caught my eye. Maybe I could put a card together with it. But then again maybe it would come across as a downer with a sad story to tell. Might just make an interesting photo though. You did a great job on this and I know you will put together some terrific "Welcome" cards. What a great idea!

Girl...you are not giving yourself enough credit!!! I think you did an incredible job on watercoloring here!! You got a lot of shading on the abandoned boat and I love the movement you created in the sky behind it! Thanks for sharing your talent! :-)
