Today, for IC512 inspiration, Audrie took us to the Etsy shop of Osnat Tzadok, an Israeli born Canadian artist. She has some wonderful art in her gallery. My card I was inspired by this landscape painting. LOVE the colors and the "light."
When I ink up big stamps I can't stand to waste all the ink so I always mist it and stamp it at least one more time. Ya'll know how I love to create layered bkgrds! The base of this card is the third stamp-off. Because the ink was very faint the third time, with a sponge, I lightly "pounced" on a bit more ink b4 misting and stamping. LOVE the way the bkgrd evolved as it dried, giving it shadows, color variations and "light." After it was air dried, I used the same stamp in Old Mahogany distress to stamp over it. I used distress inks to sponge on my night sky. Then I stamped the clouds with an ? SU stamp. Used a Ranger mini ink tool to make the SU white kraft moon. Stamped Girl's Paperie bats and greeting. Since the ink bled a bit on the inside front, b4 I mail it, I will trim it about 1/8" all around and adhere it to a black A2 card base.
Thanks for looking!
