I made this for today's sketch challenge. This was a really fun and easy sketch. I colored the little boy with alcohol markers (spectrum noir), and then water colored around him with sage shadow reinker. The designer paper was two sided so I used the striped side and the flip side beneath the three long panels. I layered all that onto black and then onto red. I sponged the red cs with black ink to give it a dusty look. I thought it would go well with the dp because the red stripes in it have a black or charcoal grainy look. I took a real turn on my background because I was originally planning to use burlap paper, but when I saw this, I knew it was what I wanted to use. I did change the sketch a little by moving my main image to the other side. I thought it looked better to have the little boy looking to the middle of the card rather than off the side. Hope that is ok. Thanks for looking!
