While spending a week crafting with Jody (Jodylb), I had luxury of borrowing her wonderful stamps! Thanks Jo! Painted the background with distress paints and a brush after removing the dauber. Stamped over the paint and colored directly on the paint with pencils. Die cut with her beautiful stitched rectangle die and matted on a background we created with the Susie Australia technique of smacking the ink pad on a craft sheet, spray with water and using a wet sponge, smeared it on paper. Thanks for stopping by.

Great control and coverage with the coloring! And those colors capture a monarch butterfly perfectly (though I know this is not technically a monarch butterfly Yay for stamping together!

AH...perfection. So fun to see one of the outcomes of Jody's visit and you two creating together! I LOVE that brushed look behind that amazingly colored butterfly. The stitched die back ground with the intriguing panel of wet sponged ink peeking from behind, ROCKS! LOVE LOVE LOVE this....

I'm so glad you made a card from this! I should have given you the stamp - nothing I create with it could be as gorgeous as this turned out.
It was so fun seeing the butterfly come alive through your fabulous coloring - I'm ready to do it again!

Absolutely breath-taking, Nancy. Not only a gorgeous card(thanks for giving the "how-tos"), but a lovely memento of the time spent with a stamping friend. Your work is always above the rest.

Nancy, it sounds from your list that the music and part above is all one stamp! That is very artsy and you did well with the swiping behind it! Gorgeous job on the butterfly and thanks for the info on how to do it! tfs
I am so glad you had a good time with Jody and you accomplished something so beautiful!
