I was playing around with coloring this blossom and got some news about a friend. Somehow this card then morphed into a Sympathy card. I guess my stamping is an expression of what is in my heart at the moment.
I stamped in Momento and used the ink pads and an Aquapainter to color the petals. I usually use a brush so this was a bit more challenging. After allowing it to dry overnight I used the SU markers to go back and create some deeper shadows. Then white gel pen for some dots. I did mask the flower before overstamping the hatched background.

That flower is beautiful, I love the depth you have given it with your colouring - the highlights in the petals and leaves are the sort of detail I am no good at.

This is BEATUIFUL! I luv the thatched background - such a pretty switch from sponging. The embossing on the red base is a gorgeous accent and adds so much interest.
