This card for last Tuesday's Teapotter challenge, is for my Uncle Gene. It was inspired by these umbrellas on a Pinterest board. The board was one of two IC486 inspiration sites Audrie gave to us for yesterday's (Sat) challenge. Loved the rich colors and prints which reminded me of my Cosmo Cricket "Wanted" paper. I intended to use more of the orange and brown papers but since I used so many shades of brown ink, I opted for a variety of colors including blues and greens. I used a variety of die cuts to add layers and texture. As well, I used a Tim Holtz distress tool on the edges of many pcs. Inked them w/Ranger distress inks. In addition to writing a personal message on the inside, I stamped a MFT sentiment that reads:
"You are a special blessing in my life" which he certainly is!
I decorated the inside and the ep with other stamps from SU's Wild, Wild West.
I used last Wed's SC533, which was a neat sketch.
THANK YOU to ALL the Teapotters who crafted cards for my Uncle and sent them. I'm sure he has begun receiving them and that I will hear from him soon, maybe even today. I will let you all know what he has to say.
THANKS, too, for looking at my card today!

This is an incredible card. It has a lovely aged feel to it - specially with the weathered fence along the bottom which adds so much to the Western feel of the card. So well done.
