My friend, Wendy, (wereids) gave me this set over the weekend. I thought it would be fun to something different with the lcown and fit it into our color challenge. The fun stopped right there as it has been a disaster in the making. I had almost totally and pains takingly finished coloring the clown when I dropped my paintbrush filled with brown paint across the face and the midriff and off onto the outside of the image. Argh!!!!!! I knew that I would have to cut him out.....and try to color another face and put over his ruined one. When I got it finished and put in place, my husband said he looked like a monkey so I painted another one and put it in place. Actually, this is not really a great face....as there is too much detail in a very little space. Anyway, here it is. I had worked so darn hard on it I was bound and determined to try an make something out of it. I would say he's a little out of my comfort zone.

I saw a moving when I was little of an evil clown, so clowns are not on my list of favs, but you did a wonderful job with this card. I worked last night on several cards that are in the trash. My husband asked how many cards I had made as I had been "at it" for hours. I had to confess that I hadn't made any, only several attempts in the trash. I was trying to do something that's "out of my box". I'm going to try again today!

I am so glad to see you using the clown. Sorry it caused you a headache. Hey, cutting the thing out so no picnic either....But, aren't mishaps wonderful. They often force you to create really cute things. I like the face, it looks 3D. And of course your coloring is fabulous. I also like the way you have constructed the card. Really adorable.
XOXO

I'm rolling with laughter at that description...if nothing else you sure made my day! Good Grief this wierd little dude is a lot of work! I also had this set given to me and he takes forever to color in and my heart just sank for you when you said you dropped the paint brush on him...but the monkey talk brought me out of my depression!!! So far I've used him once, it's a fabulous card so they tell me but what was SU thinking to makes him so detailed...could be why there are only two pages in the gallery!
You did a fabulous job in coloring him and the work sure paid off, the card if GREAT! You almost have me imspired enough to pull him out again...naw, it's to soon!
