When I saw this challenge last night, I thought yes, I can do that. This palm leaf die is perfect, well except for the creases that show on the sides. I know Joan said lighter weight c/s works better, and maybe just for this reason. So a learning experience for me and all of us.
After embossing with the die, I colored in the non raised parts of the leaves with the Versa Mark pen. In most places, I did the embossing in two layers. I'm undecided as to which looks better, a single layer and more texture, or what you see here.
This embossing power is such a fine powder, that no matter what you do, it leaves it's pearly residue on the c/s. I did manage to get most of it off, but there is still a fine layer of ep, giving the card a nice glow.
Now I goofed big time with stamping the sentiment. No way to cover it up, so it is what it is.
