I used the faux silk technique for my floral image. After I had it attached to a backing layer I thought it needed something more so I sponged some orchid ink on and then applied some iridescent medium with my finger to make it sparkle (of course you can't see it in the photo). I heat embossed the greeting and dry embossed the bg. Now that I have it all done it looks kind of busy to me..but it may just be that it's not my usual style. I like the silver leaves ;)

This is so pretty! I love the color you added and the embossing on stripe DP is gorgeous - never think to do that! After reading your comments on my card, I pulled out my tissue paper - you're right, it is coated - no wonder it wouldn't even dry with the heat gun! Thanks for the heads up!

Gorgeous card, Polly and a wonderful combination of techniques. I like how your dry embossing on the gray/white striped DP gives the effect of it being corrugated too. You can obviously do ANY style you choose. (Tell me about the camera not capturing the glisten and sparkle we see IRL.) : )

That's fabulous, Polly! I love the dimension and texture, and purple is my favorite color! Don't you wish it were easier to capture glimmer in a photograph? Thanks for playing in my challenge!

It is a fabulous card. I thought you had sent the embossed flower through the crimper. The striped designer paper provides an interesting optical illusion for the dry embossing. I will give that a try. The pink and purple are pretty, too.

I love that pattern on the white background especially. I try to own every embossing folder out there, but this is one I have missed seeing. Love it. Glad you took a couple of steps out of your comfort zone to make this showstopper! I love it.
