Sallie's (hobbydujour) watercoloring has caught me eye several times and today's CC Poppy card is no exception. So I hustled off to my craft room and gave a faux watercolor look card a try. It's harder than it looks and required some playing around on my part. I was about to give up and on my last try, I got a flower that looked good enough. Once dry, I masked the flowers, leaves and bud and stamped the background (intentionally making the center around the flowers darker with Bermuda Bay). I finished the card off with my Copics for the center, made a bow for the sentiment and popped on three enamel dots.
Thanks go to Sallie for the inspiration and Vicki for the fun color choice!

Cathy, you are too kind. Your poppy is BEAUTIFULLY done and you achieved a "loose" watercolor style which IMO, is one of the loveliest forms of watercoloring. Your card is sensational. Keep watercoloring!

This is really gorgeous! I think you achieved a great look on your poppies and I love how you did the bg with the darker color around the image! Beautiful!!!

Cathy this is sooo beautiful... I don't think you needed any help from Sallie on this one as it is perfection in itself... Love the script bg with the gorgeous poppys... also love the little bow on the sentiment tab... so very well done... love it.
