For today's teapot party and colors. This is my first attempt at making a card that opens unlike an A-2, so I chose an easy method. I had to take the photo with the card lying down (couldn't keep it closed enough). I paper pieced each balloon, did lots of sponging, added some ribbon using my distress tool to cut a slit on the side of the card. Used heavy sticky tape on one side of the die. The inside says "Celebrate" with lots of stamped confetti. Thanks for stopping in today! ~Roberta

How cool is this! I absolutely love the colours and your pieced image. I know what you mean about closing. I usually paperclip the card closed, tie the bow and hope for the best when I remove the clip. Looks good until the person receiving it opens it up...then it's never the same again! LOL

Wow...super job for the first time....you aced it....:0). I think I tried one liek that a whle back and had trouble getting mine to close right too, will have to try again. So soft, simple and cute this is. Great work paper piecing with the balloons, awesome for the party, and fun cherry paper for the bg...perfect for the Okanagan Valley here as in the middle of our yummy cherry season. TFS...:0)

Adorable, great use of this week's colors, and you've created a clever ribbon closure for this gatefold card. Love the balloons! Thanks for playing in this week's color challenge!
