Using cork to-day was a splendid challenge. I made the buttons from a wine cork sliced thinly and punched with two holes. Be sure to soak the cork in boiling water for about half an hour so it will slice easily and smoothly without flaking. The pearl buttons are sewn on the card made from a piece of recycled packaging. The sewing thread (bakers twine) is actually cotton yarn for knitting dish cloths. I also used one of the cork buttons as the closure on the treat holders.I gave to my Stamp Girls for our Easter meeting. The package is a #4 coffee filter (not used) stamped and folded. I saw this idea in the latest edition of Green Crafts from Stampington. Wish I had thought of this myself but unfortunately I am not quite that smart!
