For the WTUI challenge this week from Michelle - Spring Means NEW Beginnings , and also for this week's CCEE Stampers challenge from Kathy. She asked us to use 3 images - not counting a sentiment.
I have to confess I used 4 stamps plus sentiment, but since all Wonderfully Worn did was add some distressing to the overall look, I didn't count it as an image. Hope that's okay! !
I stamped and masked the ship, then stamped the map in Sepia and sponged it with blues and greens and browns, and then misted it with a homemade mist.
Edges sponged with walnut stain.
Banners stamped with barn door and chipped sapphire.
I embossed the top with the stitching ef and sponged it with soot black, and added a Verve sentiment.
Base sponged with Soot Black distress stain, finished off with a white gel pen.
Open Sea, CAC Map, Banner Blast. (Also used Wonderfully Worn stamped over everything, and Verve bÂ’day sentiment. Ship stamped and masked, map stamped and sponged. Misted with homemade mist, edges sponged with Walnut Stain. Base sponged with Soot Black stain. twine...

Wonderful guy card. I love ships, and the map bg is perfect with the barest coloring! Love the flags you added, my friend. Mom got your daffodil card today, and really felt it was Spring!

Sabrina, this is a perfect masculine card1 I love the ship and the blue and brown colour combo. the banners echo the sails of the ship and I love the 'stitching' along the top too.

What a cool maritime card! Love the pairing of the Old World style ship & map with the fun banners. It adds an unexpected touch of whimsy to this beautifully designed card. Awesome! TFS
