Mary gave us quite a challenge this week! Many of these colors are not go-to's for me, but I put on my big girl pants and cobbled a love note for my DH. He had several medical problems last year, culminating in open heart surgery just before Thanksgiving.
Made the salted BG with Pacific Point & Soft Sky and let dry, then added a Smoky Slate curved border sky. Stamped the schooner (dessert!) in Pacific Point on Starfruit. Colored the clouds with red Copics yielding a coral shade, then inked the sails with white gel pen. Cut and Matted with Nestie Labels 8 and mounted on the salted panel. PC generated the sentiment and cut with tag die. Knotted in place with the cord & anchor, mounted on a Smoky Slate card and done. PT - 4
I'll probably get flowers and chocolate from DH, but the best Valentine is having him here with me this year. Thanks Mary for the wonderful colors to spark this manly Valentine - I think I used them all! Thank you all for looking and have a peaceful day.

I just love the knotting you added to this wonderful card!! The ship is fabulous, and I think the salted technique in the bg is the perfect layer for the theme!! A Valentine DH is the best thing you can have....I know, cuz my DH is spending his 53rd Val. Day with me!! (His birthday is Valentine's Day!!) Aren't we so lucky!! He will love his card, MArie!!

You have created a beautiful card, lovingly made for your husband. The sentiment and the way you have tied it onto the card shows the strength you have shown during this rough time. I am sending warm wishes to you all for his continued recovery.
