Kyra's challenge to us this week is to create layers upon layers on our projects. Today is Chinese New Year, so I went with that theme. I didn't document my process on the background... but I used dye and Versafine inks, white India ink, gold Delicata ink, gold embossing powder, Crafter's Workshop stencils, plastic canvas, spray paint, and Micro Glaze. The Lanterns image is from my newest release from Impression Obsession, as are all the other stamps I used on the background.
In the corners of the background I sprinkled gold embossing powder randomly, and heated it from the back side of the panel to melt it.
I made the tassel from gold embroidery thread, using my BowEasy.

My son the Japanese scholar has us refer to this as Lunar New Year...go figure! Your BG is gorgeous - the Micro Glaze and gold EP make it look like a tile. Very yummy! Beautiful coloring/finishing of your gold-embossed focal point - so very striking! (I have this stamp on my wishlist. Thanks, enabler!)
Amazing card, thanks so much for your inspiration. Hugz from frigid NJ - and Happy New Year!

Awesome card for Chinese New Year with those gorgeous colors and gold embossing; the lanterns are fabulous, but that background is astounding!
