Great choice of colors this week, Mary! I added your dessert option also...celebrating the new year 2014.
And for this weeks tea potter party...we are exchanging cards with each other! The spotlight is resolutions...my resolution this year is to open wide as many doors as I am presented.
I love my studio...it never fails to wrap me in all the goodness and creativity that living artfully brings...I hope you feel the same way when you open the doors to yours. Tonight, I walked down thinking about what to do with Mary's wonderful festive colors, Black, Silver, and White. My first thought was to dress one of my elegant ladies in brocade...and then it happened...I opened the doors to the studio and the first thing I saw was the sentiment stamp 'There are DOORWAYS I haven't opened"...what an opening for the new year!
I stamped the Craftsman style door on black cs, embossing with clear ep. Hand cut all the windows, placed the sentiment in the middle and then added vellum around all the tiny window openings. The #14 is one of Tim Holtz's enamel do-dads. And I couldn't resist the funky arm pointing the way into the new year. Add a bit of silver scrap and tinsel and I am ready!!!
How about you...what new doors will open for you, new paths, new hills to climb, new friends to bring along. Here's wishing every health and happiness to you...

I love your door and the great sentiment!! I do so love the creativity we are blessed to share. It helps me to cope in difficult times as well as good. I thought that door can open from both sides too. Maybe one is closing? Maybe it's how you choose to see the opening. I love all the analogies we can come up with just like all the different colors etc. Our life is like a palette, right?! Happy New Year Susan!! :>)

Such words of wisdom. My Mother always says, God doesn't close one door, but opens another. And as I get older, I realize just how true this really is. Great card too BTW!! Happy New Year.

I just cherish your insightful wisdom in all things, Susan. A masterfully designed card that invites us to the challenges that 2014 hold for us all. So, I am ready to take that leap of faith, to share a lot more love, yielding my ways to more of His ways, and continuing that transformation of glory to glory. R=Through Him we can do all things. Peace and much love to you in 2014!
