This wonderful retired set has 12 stamps that I see as a treasure trove of wonderful outdoor scenes. I actually stamped the hat on the paper and painted the tree around it. After finishing most of the picture I painted the hat and royally messed it up. I painted another one, cut it out and mounted it over the big mess. It actually looks better popped up a layer and looks like it is really hanging. You know what they say about mistakes turning into the most wonderful addition. I hand painted the tree with reinkers and drew grass all around the tree and can with a fine tip artist pen. (everyone should get one of those....cheap, waterproof and can do lots). I used Watercolor Minis fern stamp to create greenery, flowers and leaves on the tree.

Gorgeous card, Kittie. I love this stamp set. I've never seen it before. The hat does look like it's truly hanging on the tree. Your watercoloring is awesome as usual. TFS

This card is gorgeous! I am so envious of your artistic talent. I can't draw a darn thing! Thanks heavens for stamps! At least that way I can be artistic! Keep sharing those great cards!

It's just beautiful Kittie. It's so frustrating when they retire these beautiful sets. I've only been stamping since Aug. so I've missed out on a lot of wonderful sets. Where did you purchase the artists' pen? I'd like to pick one up. I've been using my SU black marker.
