This months Tickle Challenge is children playing or a summer theme. I don't know children who dress like this to play outside anymore but in a bygone era I guess they had fun all trussed up. Whenever I see kids dressed like this all I can think of is how the mother's like must have been all about laundry. No easy care fabrics, no washing machines, must have made mothers lives miserable.
The pink cs has a gorgeous sheen which doesn't translate in the photo. As well, the rose and leaves have chunky glitter on the edges which just shows a little bit.
The children stamp is a Hero Arts and the black scrolly bg is by Judikins and is stamped and fussy cut.

Picture-book perfect, Elizabeth. I love those old-fashioned silhouette images, and I love the idea of fussy-cutting around the scroll background, something I must try. I never thought about all the washing - but I imagine they stayed cleaner and things didn't get washed as often. I can't believe it when I see friends with young children doing a couple of washes a day! I'm sure my mother didn't, and we were no angels, played outside a lot.

The very first thing I did when I saw this was to save it to My Favs. Gosh Elizabeth this is gorgeous. Olden days must have been terrible.....no distress ink, embossing folders, Digi stamps...oh could go on and on. You are going to make a teapotter very, very happy.
