This week our cards are headed off to a young lady by the name of Karissa, in Pennsylvania. Karissa has just had her 5th open heart surgery and at the young age of 20 (she was born with a congenital heart disease). I can't even imagine one open heart surgery, let alone 5. Karissa is one strong young lady!
This working is putting a big crimp into my time for creativity, good thing it's only temporary!
This week I combined 2 Marianne Creatable dies on the kraft c/s. I wanted to see what it would look like and how it could be used. I'm happy with the end result. I stamped the kraft with a favorite stamp, whitewashed and colored that with Tombow Markers. This is all adhered to the pretty teal Swiss dots dp with lot of pearls added here and there on the kraft.
I send this card off to Karissa, with prayers of hope, health, and joy.

I know what you mean about this "working" thing, it really interferes with craft life hey. This card is absolutely beautiful Jennifer, Karrisa is in for a beautiful stash of cards.

Jennifer, this really caught my eye. Your florals are beautiful and really pop on that kraft card stock - of course that awesome die doesn't hurt either *giggle* Love it! I hope you won't have continue this temporary work to much longer. But ... I'm glad you've had some time to stamp, cuz I'd sure miss you if I didn't see you on the gallery. Lovely, lovely card, Jennifer.

I love that white wash technique and you have a real stunner here. The colours are fabulous and along with the great die-cuts this is one gorgeous card.

Wow!! How beautiful. You made this in the middle of working those long days. I'm impressed that you had time for anything, let alone something as pretty and detailed looking as this.
