This is one of the cards I made as a sample for today's WT, to use hardware.
I have a whole LOAD of old WRMK hardware in copper, bronze and pewter, and it must be at least 7 years old now. I chip away at it every now and again, but the bits I find easier to use are all gone, so what's left are the more challenging ones!
As I said in the challenge write-up, July sees me needing several masculine birthday cards, so this is another of them.
A2 base.
IO Bookshelves: wrinkle free distress (brushed corduroy, frayed burlap, vintage photo), then image stamped with Versafine Smokey Grey and coloured with Polychromos. The card base was sponged with Vintage Photo distress stain, and I sponged the edges of the Bookshelves panel too.
The little book is Bazzill. I used a gold peel-off sticker (sorry, couldn't get it to show well in photo) and embossed above and below it, and then scored. I added the little hinges, and then used some marbled paper to line the insides and hide the brads. The paper reminds me of the end-papers in old books!
Sentiment is HA, cake is from Just Celebrate, coloured with Polychromos.
