Today's Technique challenge is called 1-2-3 Pop and asks us to use 3 neutrals for our bg with one pop of color in the foreground. I actually have 5 neutrals but they're pretty much all shades of the same. I punched and cut circles into a piece of acetate to make a stencil then I taped it down over a piece of Whisper White and sponged Sahara Sand, Going Grey and Basic Grey through it. I then stamped my main sentiment and embossed in black (here's where it got messy with the ink pad lid transferring some lines behind my sentiment....boo!) I then meant to stamp my "dad" in Versamark and Real Red, but I forgot to add the red before I stamped and embossed in clear....another boo! So, I tried a do-over on another piece of white then punched out my circle around it. Didn't quite get it centered the way I wanted and had to cover over the boo boo so I ended up laying a smaller mask over it and sponging some grey around it. I then popped it up. I had intended this to be a one layer card, but I had some more smears along one edge so I chopped the white piece and layered onto black.
