There are a handful of special people on this site that have touched my heart with the talent and stories they share. This week, one of those treasured friends has been honored as Queen for the Day. Glowbug, Chris, my Sister, I am naturally drawn to your work for the heart and faith you express. Your friendship is a blessing in my life. You were so encouraging to me in my ODBD days, and I still smile to think of how you (and Sister Grace!) got me through it all! Mercy, I knew nothing of blogs, design teams, etc. and yet, you patiently and kindly held my hand through it all, and even uploaded my work when our first grandson was born! Bless your heart! I chose this card, for the sheer beauty, and also because the focus is on the Word. However, I needed a card for my Pastor, so I changed it to a masculine card, but kept your design. Thank you Sister, for all you bring into this place. LYMI, lots!
Shepherds, I am thankful to have one of the best! Last week Dale's sermon was on “Fishers of Men”, and this week was about casing your nets on the right side, so I smiled to use this netting like material in place of the lace Chris used. The pewter button is interesting, because no matter which way it is placed, the word HOPE can be read. (Shh...it was a tie tack in it's former life...thanks to the Mister for this embellishment!) Scripture is computer generated, and I used leaves in place of the dragonflies.
Chris, enjoy your week sweet friend!
HERE is the video archive from where I go to church, if you'd like to hear this incredible teacher!
Thanks for looking!

I needed to hear that forgiveness sermon - I just listened to part of the self-forgiveness one and it was exactly what I needed to hear this morning. Thanks for the link! Beautiful card for your pastor - I know he will cherish it. How fun you recycled a tie tack so it could now go out in the world and encourage someone. LY!

Wow Sistah reading your story and the comments left on here for you brought tears to my eyes. What a special jewel you will have for your heavenly crown because of the love you share through this art form. Your card is amazing and such a witness to all of us on this site. A wonderfully masculine card with such beautiful elements. You had a wonderful person to case. Even though I do not know Chris, just looking through her gallery you can feel the special love she has for the Savior. You are surrounding yourself with the best things in life. Love of friends and family and love for him.

Beautiful! I like the take on your pastors sermon and then Chris card. To think that was a tie tack, hmmm... great recycling and cool that you can see hope every direction! Your pastor is going to love it.
