I was so excited when I received the e-mail from Julie HRR inviting me to be part of the Dirty Dozen Design Team – what an incredible elite group of talented artists! It was without any hesitation and a huge grin on my face that I replied right away before the DDDT had a chance to change their minds!
My name is Carla Murphy (cardsbycarla) and I have been stamping and making cards for almost 7 years. I only discovered SCS less then 2 years ago and what an incredible feeling to realize I had an entire world of inspiration right at my fingertips.
I work full time as a medical secretary in a military hospital. My days are crazy and hectic, but I love it. When there’s an evening or weekend that allows time for some good ‘ol card making, I find it’s the best way to relax.
I can’t even talk about “stamping” without mentioning my sister Denise. She is an incredible artist with such originality and an amazing eye for colour. We have a lot of laughs together trying to “out-do” each other and especially enjoy our outings of rubber-retail-therapy! Of course that can include a lazy afternoon of goggling the SU! Catalogue…
I am so genuinely excited about this invitation and really looking forward to all of the possibilities and challenges in this next six months!!!

Carla,
This does not surprise me a bit! Yours has been some of my favorite work by far and I have many of your creations saved in my faves! Congratulations, and have fun!
