Hello! This card was made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge: Faux tile and today's Stampin' B's Challenge: Scoring.
Now, I've been on a quest to finish as many Christmas cards as possible in as little time as possible. One of my assistants is on vacation for a week, so I have a bit more room to move around my studio, so I'm trying to finish 4 of these this morning. Can you imagine? Stamping while at work! Who knew??? (I guess it works if you work at a stamping company! LOL)
Easy background, done with a technique: Distressed Scoring. I made a video of how I did it.
The Faux Tile is easy to do. I cut out 1/2" squares and taped them, with room for the Grout Lines, on a scrap piece of paper. Next, I stamped and off stamped the images. Then, I used my Copic Airbrush to color in the images. (You could use a sponge and ink for that part.)
Then, I carefully took off the squares and placed them on a sheet of Snow Storm Smooth and cut around them for the focal panel. (It's MUCH easier to do than explain!)
The charm started out brass colored. I pressed it into VersaMark and then Silver embossing powder. I used the heat tool to melt. Now it's silver!
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 42 minutes
